Hot/Cold Therapy System

The Armadillo Hot/Cold Therapy System can be applied anywhere on the rider and allows application of hot or cold therapy to limbs simultaneously.

The system includes :- 2 Gel Packs, 2 Therapy Pockets, 2 Fitting Straps and Kit Bag.

How to Use

• Check area to be treated is clean and dry.

• Heat or cool the Gel Packs. Gel Pack heating can either be done in the microwave or using boiling water while cooling is achieved by placing the packs in a freezer. (See product instructions for full details).

• Insert Gel Pack into pocket of Therapy Wrap and secure with Velcro closure.

• Apply the Gel Pack to the required area, and fit securely as shown on the Kit Bag.

• Check to make sure horse/rider is comfortable.

• Apply for no longer than 10 minutes for Cold Treatment, or 15 minutes for Hot Treatment.

• Repeat 3-4 times a day.

Hot Therapy

Heat increases the blood supply to injured areas, providing increased oxygen and white blood cells to promote healing.

Cold Therapy

Coldness causes constriction of small arteries, decreasing the amount of haemorrhage and swelling in the injured area.

Wear Mini Wrap for 1 to 12 hours at a time. Remove for a few hours to allow body to normalise. Repeat as necessary. It will normally work within half an hour of wearing it and provide effective magnetic therapy throughout the day.
